Lettuce is rich in fibers, potassium and vitamins A and C. It contains moderate amounts of vitamins D, E, K, calcium, phosphor, magnesium and sulfur. It has laxative features, analgesic and sedative.
It can be used as starter or in order to garnish meat and fish dish. It can be eaten alone as well, with other vegetables and aromatic herbs. As vinegar tears leaves up, it is better to season it with lemon or aromatic vinegar.
